President and Editor-in-chief: Dan Rubin
Dan Rubin brings over 10 years of experience to the fold in both broadcasting and journalism. His career started in 1999 as part of the Malden Evening News and Medford Daily Mercury newspapers, moving onto college productions following a graduation from Malden Catholic High School in 2003. Since then, Rubin has joined coverage of US College Hockey Online’s in-rink reporters (USCHO.com) and covered both Hockey East and the 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins for Noontime Sports (noontimesports.com).
Outside the print world, Rubin ventured into broadcasting and production starting in 2003 at Brown University. Working a variety of sports at Brown that included the Ivy League Champion women’s basketball team and men’s soccer squad, he has also served as play-by-play and color analysts for men’s hockey, women’s hockey, men’s lacrosse, and women’s lacrosse. Since 2009, he is one of the broadcast analysts for Bentley University’s only Division I sport in men’s ice hockey, and he is also the voice of Emmanuel College men’s and women’s basketball. For four seasons, Rubin was the play-by-play commentator for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League, calling two championship victories and one CCBL All Star Game.
Rubin’s resume includes work with New England Sports Network (NESN), Cape and Islands NPR (WCAI-FM), Broadcast Monsters, America One (formerly B2 Networks), 790 AM The Score (Providence, RI), and Fast Hockey.
A 2007 graduate of UMass-Dartmouth with a concentration in Marketing, he currently resides in Malden, Massachusetts.
